Portrait of Law Prof Bloggers

Daniel Solove of Concurring Opinions recently published an updated 2007 version of his census of U.S. law professors who blog.

Highlights:

• 307 law professor bloggers were identified
• About 25% are female and 75% are male
• Schools with the most bloggers, at 8 each: Chicago, George Washington, San Diego
• The US News & World Report Top 25 schools represent 24% of the total number of bloggers

Steve Matthews of the Vancouver Law Librarian Blog has compiled a list of Canadian blawgs (last update April 20, 2007). There appear to be relatively few Canadian academic law blogs:

• Michael Geist (University of Ottawa)
• University of Toronto Law School Faculty Blog
• Vincent Gautrais (Université de Montréal)
• The Court (Osgoode Hall Law School)
