March 15 Deadline for Canadian Association of Law Libraries Research Grant
The grant provides financial assistance to support members who wish to do research on a topic of interest to members and to the association, and which would promote an understanding of legal information sources or law librarianship.
Proposed research projects need not be large or formal; research could include surveys, bibliographic projects, pilot projects and feasibility studies. Grants have been previously awarded for projects such as a survey of the education of law librarians in Canada, a comparison of electronic citators, and a bibliography of common law materials written in French.
There is not a fixed limit to the amount of the Research Grant. Recent awards have ranged from $1400 to $4400.
